Marine fouling in seawater cooling systems are a major problem. Cleaning of marine growth causes additional costs during maintenance to avoid and reduce fouling a Marine Growth Prevention Systems (MGPS / ICAF) is a very common technique in the offshore and maritime industry.
By using copper and specially alloyed anodes controlled by a digital power unit, the cooling water lines will be kept clean of marine growth and mitigate the corrosion.
